Transference Healing

NEW LIFE EXPO - NEW YORK (OCT 2009)

The New Life Expo is a bi-annual event held in New York and accepts over 10 000 attendees during the three day event.  Much like the Mind Body Spirit festivals in Australia, the New Life Expo focuses on health and happiness, both of the mind and body, through ‘natural’ means.  Transference Healing’s® first appearance at the New Life Expo in New York was met with both excitement and a little trepidation by the Transference Team in October of this year.  While excited to be a part of the festival and represent Transference Healing® on an international level, the team did not know what our reception would be from the American people. 

For the first time ever we had an international team assembled in one place to represent Transference in New York, with healers from both Australia and the UK present.  It was a great opportunity for the team to solidify the sense of global unity that Transference always encourages its graduates to build.  Although the team had worked at festivals in their own home countries, we were all in a new environment, in a city that was still in the process of rebuilding their ‘faith’ after the trauma of 9/11, and which was currently in the middle of a financial downturn.

As Alexis has previously written in a number of articles, America itself is forefront on the global stage as a template for change.  Old systems are breaking down, power bases are shifting and global consciousness is changing, with American in the spotlight as an example of how that change is occurring and why it is so.  As a result of these shifts, the American public was a very different audience for the Transference team. 

During the course of the three day festival the team found that some were reluctant to approach our stand, in part because we were a new presence at the expo.  Situated as we were in a very prominent position within the expo – literally on the Stage, in an elevated position – we found that some people would walk by our stand but could not climb the stairs onto the stage.  We noticed that these people would walk past us a couple of times before finally approaching.  It was this reticence that helped us to understand the collective psyche of the people of New York, and realise the depth of the trauma that impacted them during the 9/11 attacks and the subsequent fallout.  Despite their reticence, the majority of the people we encountered were open and accepting once they stepped forward, and demonstrated a resilience of spirit that should be admired.

Our first day was slow going but extremely interesting.  On the second day of the expo, Alexis facilitated both a presentation and a workshop during the day.  Both events were well attended, and seemed to open people up to our presence during the expo.  The presentation was well received and we found that many came by afterward, to get a healing or simply to chat, all with positive reviews about what they had heard during the presentation.  This acceptance of our presence made it much easier for us to have a positive effect on people while we were there, and really opened up the doorway for Transference Healing® to have a greater presence in American again, as many people enquired about doing training with Alexis.

On the final day of the expo Alexis was invited to participate in a panel discussion that was comprised of six other highly recognised presenters from the expo.  The ‘Strange Universe: 2012 Ancient Prophecies, Modern Predictions’ panel was a discussion based format, during which each participant would get up and say a few words regarding their views on 2012, what it meant to them, how it would affect humanity and what they foresaw it would mean for the planet.  The panel was hosted by Quest TV, an American online TV program that focuses on health and natural living, who recorded the panel discussion for broadcast online (you will find the link for the panel discussion posted below this writeup).

After each participant on the panel gave their views on what 2012 means to them, the floor was opened for questions from the audience.  Having never worked in this type of format before, the panel discussion was an eye-opening experience.  The other participants on the panel came from a wide variety of disciplines, including numerology, astrology, other channellers, and psychics, all of whom are well known in American, and whose individual works are highly respected.  The openness with which the panel participants were received made us aware that, despite their natural reticence, the American people are very open to ‘alternative’ views.  It was very interesting to hear each participant’s view and the various ways in which they saw or interpreted the current changes that humanity and the planet are currently undergoing. 

The Strange Universe Panel participants included Sean David Morton, Stacie Breeze, John Oliver, Jill Dahne, Christian Von Lahr and Susan Hughes - all unique and intelligent experts of their field. As a newcomer to the New Life Expo, Alexis was very pleased to be invited to join the panel discussion and put forth her own views regarding 2012 in such highly respected and well known company.  It was also interesting for those of us from the Transference Team that were fortunate enough to be a part of the audience during the Strange Universe Panel, to witness the audience’s reaction to Alexis’ part of the discussion.  A great stillness came over the audience as Alexis started to speak, and held throughout the entire length of her discussion, hovering for a moment when she ended, before being broken by the MC of the panel.  The word spellbound comes to mind.  Having witnessed the power of Alexis’ words before, it was nonetheless interesting to watch a new audience be so profoundly affected by her words.

Transference Healing’s® participation in the New Life Expo was a great experience for the Team and really helped us all to gain a greater understanding of the shifting global consciousness, as well as gaining insight into a very different collective psyche from the one we are used to in our own countries, allowing us to further our sense of compassion and acceptance for all humanity.  In addition, the New Life Expo offered Transference Healing® an excellent opportunity to share the Transference frequency with a country that was receptive to the healing it can offer, and provided the chance to many of the Team to form connections with clients and foster an energetic connection through the Transference energy by way of remote healings.  We all look forward to returning to American when the next opportunity presents itself through Transference Healing®.
